As I mentioned earlier, Mom planned a "Teddy Bear Picnic" for all the grandkids yesterday and did a wonderful job with it! The kids had so much fun, and we all had a great time watching their excitement. We met up at Benson's Park, which is huge with lots of grass for running around, trails through the woods for walking, playground, and lots of benches and picnic tables spread out through the whole park.
Mom made Teddy Bear "ears" so the kids could be bears
Just missing my sister Jess and her 3 kids!
Representing Australia with his Koala bear :)
"Are we getting food on this picnic??"
Miss "Teddy" Em
Jo-bo (or "Bo bo as William calls him)
"Ring around the rosy..."
Miss Em having lots of fun running around
How adorable is she????
Going on a Teddy Bear Hunt
...William preferred to do his own thing
Hunting for teddy bears
And as usual, William going in the opposite direction...
The teddy bears have been found! Mom had a little teddy for each child...it was so cute!
Time for some fun with balloons!
"You can't see me!"
...once again in his own little world
"I'm not playing until someone around here gives me food!"
More interested in the wood chips of course
A bit of color...slowly but surely!
Nick-knack having a snack
I know it's out of focus but this picture cracks me up! It's a bird, it's a plane, it's....flying Jo-Bo!
He's just too cute!
Best of friends

After the playground, we all went back to the picnic tables and had lunch, followed by a special treat made by Mom for the kids...white chocolate Teddy Bear pops! That was a big hit, let me tell you. ;) It was a beautiful day with lovely weather and enjoyed by all. Great job and thanks Mom!
Last night all the hubbies graciously watched the little ones as my sisters, mother and I went out for a girls night to one of those Paint Nite Events. It was great spending time with all the girls and it was fun seeing how, despite painting the same picture, everyone's came out differently. I loved seeing all the different styles. I would recommend this to people, but I have to warn you that with it being a 21+ event, apparently the "party host" we got, who did the teaching, thought that meant that he could pretend to be a hotshot DJ and spew out profanities and crude jokes with every other word. If I had thought of it, I would have looked him up on the site beforehand, where it actually warns you of his "potty mouth" and "sexual innuendo." The painting itself was quite fun and pretty simple, and combining that with friends or family and a good drink makes it a neat experience. Just make sure you do your research before you go and know which host you're getting and what they are like. I'll post pictures when I get them.
Anyway, must be off.
Happy Thursday!
~Lindsay
