Saturday we went to the IHM annual Bazaar/Yard Sale. It was great to catch up with people we hadn't seen in awhile and it's such a fun, festive thing to do this time of year.
Cousins Maddy and Gianna enjoying the face painting and cotton candy
"Come on, Dad!"
Apple cider press
Miss Em
Little Goon was entertaining himself by getting up on the chairs
Sunday we went to a local farm/orchard/farm stand
He loved seeing all the animals
Chook!
They even had this area for kids to play in which William had so much fun with that he didn't want to leave
"Ok, I got my pumpkin!" (or "punk" as he calls them)
Matching buddies
They had a lot inside including yummy homemade apple cider doughnuts which the boys both tried (sadly I did not)
View from the center of our town
I thought we were going apple picking so I made the crust before we went to the farm for all those apples we were going to bring home. Well, we didn't end up doing any apple picking so I used the apples I already had...wouldn't want that crust going to waste! ;)
It was probably the best gluten-free, refined sugar free pie I've made yet..mmmm
Wednesday night's view from the kitchen window. Zenith took William outside to play in the yard while I was making dinner and it was just one of those moments I had to capture. It was slightly cool outside, warm and cozy inside and I just loved looking out the window at my boys playing while I was making a nice hearty soup.
...which was quite tasty. Butternut squash, sweet potato, carrot soup with ground beef
And because lately my sweet tooth is out of control, flourless banana chocolate chip mini-muffins for later to have with a cuppa
Just a splash of color..it's already gotten so much brighter! I'll take some more photos soon and post them
We told him it was time to say the rosary and he went over here, knelt down, and folded his hands all by himself! From time to time he'll kneel down during the day in front of Our Lady and start "praying the rosary" which is really a bunch of mumbles but he has all the right intonations.
We had a great time with Angie and Emma and were so sad to have them leave. Hopefully it won't be too long before we're reunited again!
Everything is going well with the pregnancy. Over 37 weeks now and getting close to the finish line. I pulled out all the baby clothes the other day and it really started to hit me that we're going to have another little one around soon. I can't wait to hold this baby and see how William interacts with him/her.
I have a phone consult with the Lyme doctor next Wednesday to check in to see how everything is going and to make a decision on whether or not I should be breastfeeding the baby. It will depend on how bad she thinks the Lyme is which she should have a better idea of now that I've been on the antibiotic. I've been trying not to think too much of the breastfeeding since the thought of not being able to is just devastating to me but we just finished saying the 54 day Rosary Novena for direction with all of this so I know Our Lady will guide us through it.
Hope you all have a good weekend and happy Friday!
~Lindsay
