BBQ anyone?
...if I were a kid, this would have made one heck of a snow fort!
The snow is deeper than waist high (for me at least :P)
And building on the roof
The last look at the house before the snow completely covers it next week ;)
William's doctor's appointment went well. He is growing steadily in weight and height, weighing a whopping 17lbs 11oz. I think he's already been surpassed in weight by his two chunky cousins, Emma and Olivia (Mackin) who are both half his age. But despite being small in size, the doctor was very impressed with his huge personality and development in all other areas. He can say Da da, Ma Ma, Ah Da (all done), Moh (more), and knows what they all mean. He signs "more," "all done," "Daddy," and "milk." When asked, he can put his hands on his head, touch his nose, clap his hands, and has just started mimicking me when I ask what the cow says and say "moo." He is a very good listener when we both tell him no, although he still loves to get into everything so we've had to really baby-proof the house.
The day of his appointment was my birthday so Zenith was going to take me out that evening while Tess watched William. We weren't out very long before I started feeling yucky again, so we left and went home before we even ordered anything besides drinks. I doubt we'll get out again before Lent begins, but it was the thought that counted, and we had some nice drinks before it came on me suddenly (well at least Zenith did...I only got into 1/3 of mine :P).
But I did get an awesome gift from my hubby...
My birthday present from Zenith!!
I was quite excited...I have many projects in mind :)
On Wednesday we had a birthday dinner for William with Tess, complete with birthday brownies, which, despite being gluten-free and mostly refined sugar-free, were better than the "real" stuff!
Celebrating William's birthday with yummy brownies
...and he thoroughly enjoyed them!
That's about all the latest from the North Pole here.
Happy Tuesday!

Oh wow!! The snow is incredible...I can't begin to imagine life in such a heavy winter. Here I sit in aircon...while the humidity leaves us icky, sticky, & bothered. Olivia often has sweat beads falling from her forehead. It is often so humid the nappies don't dry properly. Good to know William is doing so well!! I think he is very clever too. He even used sign language! Oh, & well done Zeny Beny...good pressy!!
ReplyDeleteOh boy, I don't know what's worse, the snow or humidity! I don't do well humidity...makes it hard to do anything because you feel so icky. Yes, it was a good pressy...now I can catch up to you in the sewing department. ;)
