We're really experiencing an Indian Summer this year with temperatures still in the high 80s and 90s (30-35 degrees C). As great as it is having an extended summer, the humidity has prevented me from doing much outside. We did get out Sunday and enjoyed a nice picnic and walk through a park with some beautiful gardens.
My studly man :)
...and my studly son :P
We've been working on getting William used to quiet time, especially during the rosary so we've been using this little chair and makeshift "desk" for him to sit at and go through his religious books while we say the rosary.
Monday being a public holiday, we spent the day leisurely and then took a nice scenic drive through some coastal towns.
This week was spent doing lots of preparation for the weekend going camping up north. Zenith took the day off work tomorrow so we'll head up to the Kancamagus Highway until Sunday with Mom, Dad, my sister Kaite and her family. Normally would we start seeing foliage up north about this time, but it's been so warm and we've had so little rain, it's very late this year. Usually the end of August we're already seeing some changes, but I'm only just noticing it here and there now. I was really looking forward to camping with the Autumn colors, but I don't think we're going to see much. It's supposed to be cooler which will be nice since we want to do some hiking and I just love cool weather camping.
The campground has no reception or wifi so we'll be off grid all weekend so if you can't get in touch with us, that's why. Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
