This won't be news to a some of you, but we thought we'd make the official announcement...
In case you can't read what's in the frame, it says "Coming Soon Feb 2019"
Dominic still isn't sure how he feels about the news...
But yes! Baby #4 will be joining us the end of February and we are all delighted! William especially loves to talk about the new baby and is very excited. Sometimes he tells me he wants a sister, and other times he was "another baby Dominic."
I am currently 14 weeks along and doing okay. It was a rough couple months between pregnancy nausea as well as the same weak, breathless, faint episodes that I used to get with Dominic but they are no longer constant and I am able to venture off the couch more.
We had our first ultrasound a few weeks ago since the midwife wasn't able to get a heartbeat, so with my history we wanted to be sure all was ok.
BabyTello is strong and well with a good heartbeat and lots of movement, praise God. 😊
I am with a wonderful, Catholic midwife who has been just great about everything, so we feel very blessed about that.
Thank you to all for the prayers! We are so excited to meet this little one and welcome him/her into our family!
Every year, Chick-fil-a has "cow appreciation day" which is a day you get a free meal if you dress up in "cow attire." So we got creative and met my Mom and sister and her 3 girls for some yummy chicken sandwiches!
Not that I needed anything else to make me feel like a cow as I sat there nursing Dominic...🙄
Day out at Legends Shopping Center
Follow the yellow brick road! (We were in Kansas after all 😜)
After being cooped up all that week, it felt good to get out and walk around somewhere!
Line Creek Train Rides
A local park offers "train rides" for $0.50 a ride so one Sunday afternoon we met Nana and Bumpa there to take a ride!
This one wasn't too sure about the dark scary tunnel...
Dominic loves a good breeze

High Kings Concert
This past Friday, Zenith and I finally made it out on another date, this time doing a double date with my sister Angie and her husband Thomas. We went to an Irish Festival in Kansas City and had a blast, especially since my favorite Irish Band was playing, the High Kings! What a fun concert with good, classic Irish songs.
Absolutely made my night when they sang one of my favorite songs, "Town I Loved So Well"
Fun night!
Union Station and Crown Center
Yesterday, after a long week of lots late nights from overtime, we decided to get out of the house and went to our favorite Aussie cafe in downtown Kansas City for breakfast after Mass, and then headed to Crown Center and Union station to walk around somewhere that had air conditioning. It was a lovely day out and much needed for us all.
Wore this guy out...poor thing fell asleep chewing his strap!
The boys LOVED the model trains they had there. William was so excited when we drove in because he remembered it from the last time we were there, 2 years ago from this very week for our road trip!
This kid especially was enthralled. Couldn't keep him moving to keep looking at all the trains. He kept wanting to just stop and stare at everything.
Finally getting back to doing things here and there but for the most part, August was a quiet month. Zenith has been working lots of overtime with the heat, which means overtime here at home. And not feeling so well the past couple of months has meant I've been rather cooped up. We are looking forward to some cooler weather ahead, although no sign of it yet! Hopefully once that happens, we'll be getting out and doing more.
I'll post some more updates on the boys and other "goings on" in the next few days, so stay tuned!
Zenith's new Akubra hat...straight from Australia!
This little guy has so much personality
...and forehead...
Trying to be like Daddy
One Sunday we went to my parents house for a cookout with my sister Jess and her family. Summers out here are hot and what better way to deal with the heat than a slip n' slide! Dad made up his own sprinkler "entrance" for the top, making it much more fun!
Not to be outdone by the kids, Bumpa jumped right in!
And not to be outdone by his father-in-law...here comes Chris!
Homerun!
Oh uh...Mr. Competitive not to be outdone by ANYONE
Just look at that determination!
And Mr. Cautious scooting along nice and safely
Off for a walk with Nana and Bumpa
Fourth of July we all headed over to Kaite and Dan's for a BBQ. Unfortunately Mom, and some of Jess and Chris' kids were sick so they all had to miss out on the festivities. :-(
William is ALL about cowboys lately and takes every opportunity to dress up like one
Cousin fun
Dominic chilling in the pool
More slip n' slide fun!
And there goes the man...look out kids, you might get bowled over!
Then they decided to race...
...and that didn't end so well...
Kaite and Dan's pool is the perfect size for William and he LOVED swimming in here all day!
William pushing Emma
Not much else going on...hanging inside mostly to keep cool. My little Dominic isn't so little anymore...9 months old! He sits up and does the leopard crawl now, scooting into all sorts of mischief. He just cut his first tooth and we've been loosing lots of sleep over it so hopefully that'll feel better for him because he generally doesn't fuss about much. He loves to follow his brothers around and try to be part of the "gang."
It's been so fun watching William and Marcellus hit a new stage where they get along better and actually play together. William is old enough now to have conversations with and doesn't throw in the nonsense phrases he used to use. We've officially entered the "why" stage where he's curious about EVERYTHING and wants to know whats what and how it all works. It's surprising how much he "gets" and how many hard questions he asks, especially about religion. He is a deep thinker for sure. He's also a great help around the house. Both boys have their own chores like wiping down the table and chairs after meals, sweeping the floor, helping to wash dishes, and of course fetching me this and that. William also helps me put breakfast together...each small thing is a big help especially when I feel like I'm constantly being pulled in a million directions.
William is working on his alphabet...knows all this letters and is working on perfecting writing down his letters independently. We've also been working on numbers and of course Catechism. Marcellus is working on shapes and colors and not all that interested haha. But it's motivating when your brother is doing "school" so he sits down and puts up with it for about 10 minutes before he's on to the next thing.
Marcellus constantly has a sparkle in his eye, wanting to keep up with all the other kids while at the same time being somewhat reserved. He's confident but impulsive and it's tough to keep up with him. With proper guidance this kid is going to make an excellent leader.
Time to wrap it up for now. Hope you all have a good week!
